Candace Rodgers, Psychotherapy/ Brainspotting Level I and II, accepting new clients
I am a registered psychotherapist with a Masters of Social Work Degree working towards my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation. My bachelor's degree is in Health Science and I have a Mortuary Science Degree. I began my social work journey by working as a funeral director and have worked in long term care assisting families and clients transition through life stages with acceptance and empathy.
I am passionate about Brainspotting delivered through telehealth sessions or in person and have completed Phase I and Phase II. Currently I work with clients experiencing grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression. My therapeutic interests include non-suicidal self harm ideation, life transitions, and grief. In addition to Brainspotting I am a certified in reflexology and acupressure as well as being a Reiki Master. I believe that optimal health cannot be obtained with a singular focus but we must allow possess a cohesiveness between mind and body. Becoming aware of our body reactions to stress, grief and trauma allows for connectiveness between the cognitive process and the physiological reactions.
